Australia is a fascinating country, and one that nobody could imagine until they visit it.

The Great Ocean Road, Victoria encompasses the resplendent Twelve Apostles. They are tall pillars that take pride in being alone at sea and challengingly gaze out at the red limestone cliffs.
Uluru or also known as Ayers Rock is one of the most famous natural landmarks in Australia. The sandstone formation is 348 m (1,142 ft) high, rises 863 m (2,831 ft) above sea level, with most of its volume underground, and has a total perimeter of 9.4 km ( 5.8 miles). Ayers Rock has tremendous cultural significance for Aborigines. The rock undergoes a dramatic change of colors at sunset and sunrise. Surely a show not to be missed
The Daintree Rain Forest is an impressive natural wonder that is estimated to be around 135 million years old, the oldest rain forest on earth. Here you can disconnect from the outside world and enjoy the wonder of the glorious surroundings. The diversity of fauna and flora will leave you speechless.
And it goes without saying! the magnificent islands of Australia. In total, there are 8,222 of them. Unfortunately, one cannot see them all, so here are some of the “Must visit once in a lifetime”. Without a doubt, the Whitsunday Islands should be number one on the list. They are part of 74 islands within the Great Barrier Reef area, which indisputably is a paradise under the sea.

A common myth about the kangaroo’s English name is that “kangaroo” was a Guugu Yimithirr phrase for “I don’t understand you. “According to this legend, Cook and Banks were exploring the area when they happened upon the animal. They asked a nearby local what the creatures were called. The local responded “Kangaroo”, meaning “I don’t understand you”, which Cook took to be the name of the creature.
Koalas are not bears. They are not placental or ‘eutherian’ mammals, but MARSUPIALS, which means that their young are born immature & they develop further in the safety of a pouch. It’s incorrect to call them ‘Koala bears’ – their correct name is simply ‘Koalas’.
